Is it just me, or is it getting increasingly more difficult to find individuals who take enormous pride in being a professional administrator?
I am often envious when I visit client executives with exceptional, all purpose “right arms.” These outstanding aids consistently illustrate the following 10 characteristics:
- “A” Personalities – They are natural born take-chargers who get things done.
- Personal Initiative – They find paths above, around, under, over and beside any and all obstacles when necessary.
- Anticipate with Clarity – In many ways, they foresee needs and wants while considering preferences, unique tastes and opportunities to exceed expectations.
- Sense of Urgency – They have a professional, polished persistence, which never crosses over to being a pest.
- Uncommon Attention to Details – They are structured, organized, process-oriented, and pay exceptional attention to mundane details.
- Follow-Through – Follow-up is the transaction. Follow-through is a process. They immerse themselves in the business of following-through.
- Unique Perspective – They bring a broad base of past personal and professional experiences to improving their ecosystems.
- Tech Savvy – Regardless of their age, they learn to adapt technology as a strategic asset.
- Customer-Centric – They understand the multi-faceted nature of intra-company, as well as external customers, and aim to delight with every interaction.
- Relationship-Centric – They understand and leverage the power of relationships to get things done.
